The Arkansas Association of Youth Clubs is a youth club of the National Association of Colored Women's Clubs. The Arkansas Association of Women's Clubs president is Mrs. Linda Murray from Pine Bluff, Arkansas. Mrs. Dorothy Sanders-Johnson from Fort Smith, Arkansas, is the National Southwest Region president of the National Association of Colored Women's Clubs. Mrs. Bridgeforth is the National Association of Colored Women's Clubs president. Our State Supervisors are Mrs. Eva Pickett of Forrest City, Arkansas and Dr. Anes Abraham of Blytheville, Arkansas. Miss Charlene Warren of Forrest City, who held the state supervisor position since the 1970's, is the State Supervisor Emeritus. The National Southwest Region supervisor is Ms. Andrea Brooks-Smith from Forrest City, Arkansas. The National Supervisor is Mrs. Eva Owens from Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Our National Supervisor Emeritus is Mrs. Peggy Myles from Birmingham Alabama.
Children in our organization participate in community service activities, officiate their business meetings, conduct workshops, participate in talent competitions, earn scholarships, and go on field trips. Each club in Arkansas participates in meetings and competitions on local, state, southwest regional and national levels. When children are a part of this club, they have the opportunity to travel across the United States and meet other talented and motivated children from the ages of five to eighteen.
